Miguel’s performance experience began before his P-Pop group career. A 2023 feature in The Bedan Herald identifies him as Cyrill Miguel G. Tumamak, also known as Miguel Gonzalez, and documents his participation in ABS-CBN’s Dream Maker. The feature also describes his vocal lessons with Vehnee Saturno and acting training through Star Magic workshops, alongside his efforts to balance school and performing.

Under the name Cyrill Tumamak, he reached the final four of ABS-CBN’s Ultimate Bida Star: Boy Next Door acting competition in 2021. His background therefore includes both singing and acting before his work with ASTER, now known as AZTER.

Within the group, member profiles list Miguel as a lead vocalist and visual. His recorded vocal contribution is documented in Apple Music’s credits for “A STAR,” released during the ASTER chapter in December 2024.
