AZTER is a Filipino P-Pop boy group composed of Kean, Charlie, Tatin, Gee, Alas, Laurence, Wayne, Loyd, Kiel, Gem, Miguel, and Cray. Its current management is 1MM (One Music Management) and Academy of Rock, while its music is released through StarPop.
The group began promoting as ASTER in 2024 under AsterisK Entertainment. During that chapter, it released music including “BINGO” and launched the album Talayag in August 2025. At the album’s press event, leader Kean described the members’ involvement in music, songwriting, dance, and content production as a central strength of the group.
Following its name change, AZTER released univerZity on August 21, 2026. Presented as its debut album under the current name, the seven-track release introduced a campus concept built around different personalities and experiences of growing up. Its songs explore friendship, heartbreak, uncertainty, and self-discovery, with “Parang May Mali” serving as the lead track.
The members helped shape the album beyond recording its songs. Gee wrote and solely composed three tracks, while several members worked with their coaches on choreography. Their contributions to the music, visuals, and concepts connect AZTER’s current work with the creative involvement established during its ASTER years.
Charlie is an AZTER member with reported roles in leadership, dance, and rap.
Tatin is an AZTER member who contributed to choreography development for univerZity.
Gee is an AZTER member and songwriter who wrote and solely composed three songs on univerZity.
Laurence is an AZTER member who helped develop choreography for univerZity.
Loyd is a member of AZTER who appeared on ABS-CBN’s idol survival show Dream Maker as JL Macatangay before joining the group.
Kiel is an AZTER member who contributed to choreography development for univerZity.
Gem is a rapper and performer in Filipino P-Pop boy group AZTER. His work includes a credited rap performance on “A STAR,” released during the group’s ASTER years.
Miguel is a singer and performer in AZTER whose background includes Dream Maker, vocal training, and acting workshops before joining the group.
Cray is an AZTER member who helped develop choreography for univerZity.
The group’s release history spans two names: ASTER and AZTER. Keeping both chapters on the same artist page preserves the music released before the rebrand.
AZTER’s name connects the aster flower with the image of a shining star. The letter “Z” also represents Zodiac, one of its two sub-units alongside AXIS.
The sub-units were already part of the group’s ASTER chapter. In its 2025 press coverage, the members explained that dividing into smaller units allowed them to work in different configurations while retaining the group identity.
