BGYO is a five-member Filipino P-pop boy group composed of Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate. The group was formed through ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy and trained before officially debuting on January 29, 2021, with the single “The Light.” Their name stands for “Becoming the change, Going further, You and I, Originally Filipino,” reflecting their goal of bringing Filipino talent to a wider audience.
Known as the Aces of P-pop, BGYO has built its identity through polished choreography, strong vocals, sleek visuals, and performance-driven releases. Their major works include the albums The Light and Be Us, the self-titled BGYO EP, Headlines, and the 2026 EP On Demand. The group has also represented Filipino music internationally, including their appearance in the Recording Academy’s “Many Sounds of Asian Pop” feature and their performance at D.U.N.K. Music Festival 2026 in Japan.
