FMA 2026: SB19, BINI, KAIA, VVINK and Alamat Lead P-pop Wins

FMA 2026: SB19, BINI, KAIA, VVINK and Alamat Lead P-pop Wins

The Filipino Music Awards returned for its second edition, and P-pop took home some of the night’s biggest honors. SB19 led with three wins, including two People’s Choice awards and Concert of the Year, while BINI won Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year. KAIA picked up two awards of its own, People’s Choice: Star of the Night and the Dove Reborn Song Award for “Sulong.” VVINK and Alamat claimed the Pop and R&B song categories.

Seven P-pop groups made the FMA 2026 nominee list: SB19, BINI, Alamat, VVINK, KAIA, XONARA and Baby Dolls. PPop Beats congratulates every one of them, winners and nominees alike.

The second Filipino Music Awards took place on October 6, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, hosted by Billy Crawford, KC Montero and Joey Mead King. A year ago, SB19 dominated the inaugural FMA at the same arena with six awards, including Artist of the Year. This time SB19 again led P-pop in trophies, the top prize went to BINI, KAIA left with two awards, and two genre awards went to groups that widen the picture of what P-pop sounds like.

SB19 Leads With Three Wins, Including Two People's Choice Awards

SB19 took home three trophies, more than any other P-pop act on the night. Fans handed Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin two People’s Choice awards for the second year running: People’s Choice: Artist, and People’s Choice: Song for “VISA.” The fan votes cap a year in which SB19 became the first Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza, playing Grant Park in Chicago on July 30 and debuting its new single “LAWLESS” live on that stage. In 2025 the group swept all three fan-voted categories, winning the song award for “Dungka!” SB19 was also nominated this year for Artist of the Year and for Album of the Year with Wakas At Simula.

SB19 also won Concert of the Year for Wakas At Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale. The show closed out the group’s trilogy era, which also produced the Simula at Wakas EP and the world tour that won last year’s Tour of the Year.

Fans, Jurors and the Top Prize: P-pop Won on Every Front

Five of the seven nominated P-pop groups left with at least one award, and P-pop acts won nine awards between them. The wins covered every kind of recognition the FMA gives: fan-voted awards for SB19 and KAIA, jury-decided genre awards for VVINK and Alamat, a special song award for KAIA, and the top Grand Award for BINI.

That spread matters more than any single trophy. P-pop is now winning on songwriting, live production and fan support at the same time, and the shortlist suggests the next wave of groups is already close behind. Congratulations to every nominee and winner of the 2026 Filipino Music Awards.
