VVINK (pronounced “wink” and stylized in all caps) is a five-member Filipino girl group under FlipMusic composed of Angelika, Ayaka, Jean, Mariel, and Odri. The group officially debuted on July 10, 2025, with the single “Tulala,” introducing a youthful and colorful sound that blends modern P-Pop with contemporary pop influences.

Unlike many rookie groups that debut immediately as a complete unit, VVINK spent months introducing their members individually through pre-debut releases. On May 16, 2025, they released Vvink: The Pre-Debut Album, featuring two solo tracks from each member. The project allowed listeners to discover the personalities, strengths, and musical styles of Angelika, Ayaka, Jean, Mariel, and Odri before the group’s official launch.

The name VVINK comes from a stylized double “V” that forms the letter “W,” creating the word “wink.” According to the group, the name represents second chances, growth, resilience, and moving forward with confidence despite challenges. This theme of self-discovery and perseverance has become a recurring part of the group’s identity.

Following their debut, VVINK continued to build momentum through releases such as “Tatlong Hiling” and “Baduy.” While “Tulala” explored the excitement and confusion of first love, “Baduy” attracted attention for combining hyperpop elements with Filipino “budots” influences, showcasing the group’s willingness to experiment with sounds not commonly heard in mainstream P-Pop.

As one of the notable rookie girl groups that emerged during P-Pop’s continued expansion in the mid-2020s, VVINK has gained attention for its mix of strong vocals, rap, performance skills, and diverse member backgrounds.

Angelika
Main Rapper, Songwriter

Angelika Samantha C. Ortiz entered VVINK with experience as a songwriter under FlipMusic. Before becoming an idol, she contributed to music projects behind the scenes and is recognized for helping write BINI's breakthrough hit "Pantropiko." Her songwriting background gives VVINK a member who understands both performance and music creation, making her one of the group's most distinctive creative voices.

Ayaka
Vocalist, Visual

Ayaka Takakuwa is a Filipino-Japanese performer who previously worked as a child actress in the Philippine entertainment industry. After spending time in Japan, she later returned to pursue music and eventually became part of VVINK. Her multicultural background and experience in front of the camera contribute to her confident stage presence and visual appeal.

Jean
Main Vocalist

Jean Ariane Flores serves as one of the group's primary vocal anchors. Known for her strong and expressive singing style, she was discovered through connections on social media before joining the lineup. Her vocal ability plays a key role in shaping VVINK's melodic identity and emotional delivery.

Mariel
Lead Vocalist

Beatrice Mariel Ong was already familiar with performing before joining VVINK. She previously competed in The Voice Kids Philippines, where she showcased her vocal talent at a young age. Her experience in singing competitions helped develop the confidence and vocal control that she brings to the group today.

Odri
Main Dancer

Audrey Christine D. Toledo, known professionally as Odri, entered VVINK with an extensive dance background. Unlike some members who came from singing or entertainment fields, Odri's foundation was rooted in performance and movement. Despite having no formal professional singing career before joining the group, she successfully expanded her skills to become an all-around performer.
