CHRLS, whose birth name is listed as Charles Morrison Rodriguez, is Press Hit Play’s lead vocalist and songwriter. Profile sources describe him as one of the members in charge of the group’s musicality. He was also a former trainee of JU Entertainment and ShowBT Philippines.

Before Press Hit Play, CHRLS built experience through singing competitions and performance training. He was listed as a finalist of tvN’s K-Pop Star Hunt Season 1 and 2 and a champion of the Dream K-Pop Filipino competition in 2014, giving him a strong background before PHP’s official debut.
