About Day One

DAY ONE is a six-member Filipino P-pop boy group composed of Wilson, Mark, Eleven, Thaddeus, Jace, and Nyle. The group is the rebrand of New:ID, the five-member act that debuted in July 2024 under MLD Entertainment following the members’ journey through the Dream Maker reality show. After parting ways with MLD Entertainment in August 2026, the members regrouped, added a sixth member in Nyle, and returned as DAY ONE, a new name and a new chapter built on the foundation they laid as New:ID.

The name DAY ONE carries immediate meaning for anyone who has followed these members since Dream Maker. It speaks to beginnings, to loyalty, and to the kind of commitment that does not waver when circumstances change. For a group that spent years training, debuted under one name, navigated a label departure, and chose to come back together rather than go separate ways, DAY ONE is an honest description of where they are: back at the start, this time on their own terms.

DAY ONE: A New Chapter Built on Real History

DAY ONE is a six-member Filipino P-pop boy group composed of Wilson, Mark, Eleven, Thaddeus, Jace, and Nyle. The group represents the next chapter for five members who debuted as New:ID in July 2024 under MLD Entertainment, one of the Korean entertainment companies with a footprint in P-pop through their co-management of HORI7ON. After mutually parting ways with MLD Entertainment in August 2026, the members chose to continue together rather than pursue separate paths, adding a sixth member in Nyle and reintroducing themselves to the P-pop audience under the DAY ONE name.

That decision to regroup, expand, and return is the most important thing to understand about DAY ONE before a single note of their new music has dropped. This is not a debut in the traditional sense. It is a recommitment, made by people who already know what it costs to build something in P-pop and have decided to keep building anyway.

From Dream Maker to New:ID to DAY ONE

The story behind DAY ONE stretches back to 2022 and the Dream Maker reality survival show, the ABS-CBN competition that also produced HORI7ON. Wilson, Mark, Eleven, Thaddeus, and Jace did not make the final cut that formed HORI7ON, finishing between tenth and sixteenth place in the competition. What happened next defined everything that followed: MLD Entertainment signed the five of them as trainees, sent them to South Korea for rigorous training, and eventually debuted them as New:ID on July 25, 2024 with the EP “New Ego” and singles “GHOST” and “The Day We Meet Again.”

New:ID spent just over two years as an active group under MLD Entertainment before the mutual contract termination in August 2026. In their farewell message to their fandom NewDAYs, the members said: “We don’t really like saying goodbye, so let’s just call it a ‘see you later.'” That phrasing turned out to be literal. DAY ONE is the see you later, arriving sooner than most expected, with a new name, a new member, and a renewed sense of direction.

The New:ID Catalog and What It Carries Forward

DAY ONE’s story cannot be told without the music New:ID made. The “New Ego” EP introduced the group’s sound: dynamic, performance-driven, rooted in P-pop and dance-pop with the technical discipline the members developed through South Korean training. “GHOST” and “The Day We Meet Again” gave their fandom NewDAYs a foundation to build on, and the singles that followed across New:ID’s active period continued to develop the group’s identity in a competitive P-pop landscape.

That catalog belongs to the New:ID chapter, but the experience of making it and performing it belongs to the five members who carried it into the DAY ONE era. The training in Korea, the stage experience as New:ID, and the group chemistry built across those years are not erased by a name change. They are the foundation that makes DAY ONE more than a fresh start.

Nyle and the Six-Member Lineup

The most significant structural change in the transition from New:ID to DAY ONE is the addition of Nyle as the group’s sixth member. Adding a new member to an existing group dynamic is never a simple process, and doing it at the same time as a full rebrand compounds that complexity. What it signals, however, is that DAY ONE is not simply New:ID under a new name. It is a deliberately reconstituted group that the five original members chose to build into something larger before returning to the public.

Nyle joins Wilson, Mark, Eleven, Thaddeus, and Jace to form the six-member lineup that DAY ONE is presenting to the P-pop audience. As the group releases music and performs as a complete act, the individual roles and contributions of all six members will become clearer. For now, Nyle’s inclusion in the lineup represents a choice the group made together, which is consistent with the self-determined posture that defines everything about how DAY ONE has come into being.

What DAY ONE Represents in P-Pop

DAY ONE’s story sits at the intersection of several things that matter in P-pop right now. It is a story about survival show roots and what happens to the acts that form outside the competition’s winning lineup. It is a story about how groups navigate label transitions and come out the other side with their membership intact and their ambition undiminished. And it is a story about what it looks like to start over in a scene that is producing new debuts constantly, where the audience’s attention is always being pulled toward the next new thing.

The name DAY ONE is an answer to all of that. It does not pretend the New:ID chapter did not happen. It honors it, and it frames what comes next as a beginning that the members have chosen deliberately rather than one that was handed to them. In a P-pop landscape where longevity is hard to earn and easy to lose, a group that has already navigated as much as these six members have before their second debut carries something that most newly debuting acts simply do not have yet: the knowledge of what it actually takes.
