YARA

YARA is a Filipino P-pop girl group under Sony Music Philippines. The group is currently composed of Gelou, Rocher, and Christa, with Kim listed as a former member. YARA officially debuted on March 10, 2023 with ADDA, a single whose title stands for “Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat.” The group first gained attention through its long pre-debut journey, performance experience, and participation in PoPinoy, where YARA became known as one of the notable girl group acts in the P-pop scene.

The name YARA is associated with the meaning “butterfly,” while the group’s fanbase is called CoCoon. Their music and image often lean into confidence, women empowerment, performance, pop, hip-hop, and R&B-influenced sounds. Through songs like ADDA, Bakit Papa?, Eksena, Katawan Flow, and Sabi Ko Na, YARA has continued to develop a sharper identity as a girl group with both dance-performance roots and a growing urban pop/R&B direction.
